Inspired by avant-garde club subculture and New York street fashion, Neigum maintains a singularly dark aesthetic. Upon moving to Edmonton in 2008, Neigum began his swift rise to local notoriety. His accomplishments include completing the Fashion Design and Apparel Production program at MC College, winning the Emerging Designer Award for the Spring 2010 season at Edmonton Fashion Week, completing an internship under designer Yigal Azrouel, and most recently, attending the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where he is currently honing his skills.
March 2011 marked launch of the Sid Neigum line at Toronto Fashion week. The stark collection caught the eye of critics and press. The spirit of Sid Neigum’s brand is bold, innovative and clever. It’s in this mood that Sid Neigum continues to evolve with his newest collection, “East meets East.”
