Located in between Oxford and Washington on the DL&W RR, this tunnel has sat silent since the late 70′s and is now filled with water due to a collapse in the middle. It had been below 20 degrees for 2 weeks and still the water inside had no ice in it. It was originaly built for the Warren RR in 1862 and was known at the Van Nest Gap Tunnel.
